Chatham Occupational Therapy student and lacrosse player, Anna Prendergast was recently selected as the PAC mid-fielder of the week for her outstanding efforts on the field. We caught up with Anna to learn more about her life as a student-athlete, her future plans, and why she loves OT so much.

The Minor Bird, Chatham’s undergraduate literary and art magazine, is in its third year of recognizing new artists through the Simon Matela SOAR Awards for Emerging Writers. Created in memory of Simon Matela (class of 2020), a creative writing major and Minor Bird executive board member who passed away unexpectedly in January 2019, these awards seek to recognize young talent. We sat down with the 2022 recipients, Alison Righetti ’25, Maggie Vargo ’25 and McKenna DiRienzo ’22 to talk more about their work as emerging writers and artists.

Each year, Chatham’s Out of the Darkness Walk, in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), serves as a space for those who have been affected by suicide to come together and share resources and support. This year’s walk will take place on Saturday, April 9th and there is still time to register and raise money.
