Chatham University’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship and the Falk School of Sustainability & Environment are hosting on Monday, November 13, 2017 a Business & Food Forum that will explore the intersection of our food system and the business world with demonstrations, tastings, and a keynote presentation by chef and restaurateur, Vimala Rajendran.

Chatham University announced today that it has received a $1.8 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for a Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program.

On October 16th, Chatham University will host speaker, Bill Thomas, who will discuss the cold case of the Colonial Parkway Murders, a case that involves four couples brutally murdered from 1986 to 1989 around Williamsburg, Virginia.

Beginning in the fall of 2018, Pittsburgh Promise Scholars who attend Chatham University will qualify for a $2,000 housing scholarship as part of the Pittsburgh Promise Preferred College Partners Program.

Chatham University’s Falk School of Sustainability & Environment will host the Food and Climate Change Conference on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Esther Barazzone Center of Chatham’s Eden Hall Campus in Richland, PA.

The Peace Corps and Chatham University today announced the launch of a new Paul D. Coverdell Fellows program housed in the Falk School of Sustainability & Environment. The program offers up to five graduate school scholarships to returned Peace Corps volunteers who have been accepted into the Master of Sustainability, Master of Arts in Food Studies, or dual-degree MSUS+MBA and MAFS+MBA programs.

The Chatham University Women’s Institute and the Pittsburgh Gender Scholars Consortium (PCSC) will host a gender scholars symposium entitled: “Gender Equality in Pittsburgh: Making Intersectional Change Happen” on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 8 AM to 1:30 PM at Chatham University.

Chatham University has once again been selected as one of only 24 universities for the Princeton Review’s  2018 Green College Honor Roll.  The Green College Honor Roll recognizes the most environmentally responsible colleges across the United States.

On Wednesday, September 20, at 8 p.m. in the Welker Room of James Laughlin Music Hall, on Chatham University’s Shadyside campus, the Chatham University MFA in Creative Writing Program will welcome Margot Livesey as the Melanie Brown Lecturer. Melanie and Fred R. Brown established the Melanie Brown Lecture Series in 2008 to support a two-day campus visit by an established author whose fiction writing is guided by a strong sense of place.
