U.S. News & World Report Names Chatham a Best College, PA’s Top University for Social Mobility
Chatham University was today named a Best College in the National Universities category by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2026, the publication’s yearly list highlighting the best in higher education.
Chatham was also among the top 50 in the Social Mobility—National Universities category, continuing the university’s standing as the top school for social mobility in Pennsylvania. Social mobility measures how colleges help students with fewer financial resources improve their lives and opportunities by graduating from college and successfully going on to graduate school or meaningful careers.
Every year, the U.S. News & World Report Best College rankings evaluate nearly 1,500 national colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality with an emphasis on social mobility and outcomes for graduating students.
