The Chatham University men’s and women’s squash teams announced today that Chatham squash will play their home matches for the 24-25 season at Steel City Squash’s new squash and education facility being constructed in the Larimer neighborhood of Pittsburgh. In addition to a new home match and practice facility, Chatham student-athletes will also be involved in teaching and mentoring young players participating in Steel City Squash programs.

Steel City Squash’s new facility will contain classrooms, 8 squash courts, including 1 hardball doubles and 1 all-glass championship court, a college/career center, and a 500 sq. ft. fitness space with men’s and women’s locker rooms.

“We are proud to partner with Steel City Squash and our teams are looking forward to the opportunity to play in a world-class facility designed to be a local and national destination for squash. Plus, our student athletes will continue to teach and mentor young squash players from the region, helping to support the youth development programs of Steel City Squash.”

- Rhonda Phillips, Chatham University President

This collaboration brings together Chatham University and Steel City Squash, an academic and athletic program that provides life-changing opportunities through education, mentoring, travel, community service and the sport of squash.
