Chatham Continues its Third Year of Fundraising Growth
Chatham University is proud to announce that it has raised more than $7.5 million from donors of all levels during the fiscal year, which ended on June 30. This is the third straight year of fundraising growth and a testament to our donors' generosity, commitment, and belief in the future of Chatham.
Building on this strong foundation and momentum is a central focus for President Lisa Lambert and the new VP of Advancement, Michael Braxton, as Chatham prepares to launch a new strategic planning process, welcomes its largest undergraduate class in history, and re-engages with alumni and donors throughout the coming year.
From small donors to estate gifts to major gifts, donations of all sizes make a difference at Chatham. Some highlights this year include:
An estate gift from Katheryn Hopkins Salver '66 to establish an endowed chair in humanities and a scholarship fund for humanities students
A gift from the estate of John McDonald, Jr., towards the M. Ethel Cole Tyler Endowed Fund
A gift from the Dietrich Foundation for the Dietrich Foundation Endowment Fund for Faculty Excellence
A gift from the estate of Nancy J. Lutz '53 for The Nancy J. Lutz '53 Scholarship Fund
A personal gift from Joan and Rodger Gurrentz and Family for renovations to the Susan Bergman Gurrentz '56 Art Gallery
An array of gifts (of all sizes) to Chatham’s Annual Fund, including contributions made through another successful Day of Giving and the new Summer Giving Splash campaign.
