BOTC is a week-long competition between the seniors, juniors, sophomores, and first years that calls on each class to exhibit creativity, cooperation, and Chatham pride.

I asked O’Donnell for an interview for a number of reasons—including two unusual international experiences she’s done while at Chatham and the fact that she singlehandedly started the cheerleading squad—but was not expecting this.

Sophie Costan, Biology '16 spent the summer completing a Psychiatric Genetics Internship at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. We caught up with Sophie to see what she got out of her summer internship experience. 

“The course equips students with the actual skills of leading, but it’s much more than that,” says Dr. Ramey.

By Friday, the 18 high school students participating in this year’s Sustainability Leadership Academy (SLA) have been together for five days, but as a group they seem much tighter than that.

In the year since Lucie McGrane graduated from Chatham University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, she has built an impressive career as a physical therapist for Broadway performers.

Dr. Sowmya Narayanan just finished an MD/PhD program and is about to start her general surgical residency at UPMC. Still, she made time in her schedule to be the keynote speaker at Chatham’s first annual Department of Science Student Research Day.

I danced throughout my youth and was set on majoring in dance. My parents were a little concerned because they did not want me to have to wait tables the rest of my life!

Chatham Head Women’s Volleyball Coach Dylan Lasher has always been a cat. In elementary school, he was a Tiger. In high school, a Bobcat. At Thiel College, he was a Tomcat. He played for their volleyball team, but it was as assistant student coach for Thiel’s women’s team that he saw the Chatham Cougars in action.

April was a big month for Eden Hall Campus in terms of external recognition: The Anne Mallinson ’61 Café and field lab were granted official LEED Platinum ratings, and the campus was recognized nationwide with a 2018 Education Facility Design Award of Excellence from the American Institute of Architects.

Developed by physical therapists at the University of Delaware, Go Baby Go is an initiative with clubs across the country that modifies ride-on toy cars so that they can be used by children with mobility deficits. Erin Gaffney, DPT ’17 brought the idea to Chatham.
