While MLK Day is a day to honor the strides made by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., it is also a day to serve our communities and learn how to be better activists. The theme of this year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration comes from a quote by Representative John Lewis, “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble." Join the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, the Office of Student Engagement, and the Diversity & Inclusion Council for a wide-range of events rooted in activism and positive change in our communities, including a keynote address from Pittsburgh author, Deesha Philyaw.
