Campus Community Bread Oven in Action

Chatham University’s Eden Hall Campus boasts many an enticing feature, from state-of the-art renewable energy technology to fields that support our local food bank and more! But one of EHC’s newest draws is especially delicious— the Eden Hall Campus Community Bread Oven, spearheaded by students in our Master of Arts in Food Studies program and used to educate, entertain, and feed our campus community! Check out the video below to learn more about the oven and its many offerings:

Initiated by one Chatham student’s desire to create a campus hub for cooking and community, funding for the Eden Hall Campus Community Bread Oven was provided by The Lloyd Foundation and Dorothy Lowenthal Raizman '68. Now, the oven is the site of monthly Community Bakes as well as Center for Regional Agriculture, Food, and Transformation (CRAFT) workshops, classroom demonstrations, and more.
