U.S. News Names Chatham a Best College, a Top 5 University for Social Mobility in PA

Chatham University was today named a Best College in the National Universities category by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2027, the publication’s yearly list highlighting the best in higher education.

Chatham was listed in the Social Mobility—National Universities category, continuing the university’s standing as one of the top five Pennsylvania schools in this category. Social mobility measures how colleges help students with fewer financial resources improve their lives and opportunities by graduating from college and successfully going on to graduate school or meaningful careers.

Every year, the U.S. News & World Report Best College rankings evaluate nearly 1,500 national colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality with an emphasis on social mobility and outcomes for graduating students.

In the past year, Chatham has been ranked by the Wall Street Journal as one of the best U.S. colleges, was listed among 35 beautiful college campuses by U.S. News, and named on Money.com’s list of Best Colleges in America.
